THE STORY OF KENYANG
Founded by Tan Yuen Mun (Mun), Kenyang is a social enterprise with a mission to feed the needy and set the stage for a more sustainable future from its 117 Hub in Ipoh, Malaysia.
Over the course Mun’s professional journey, she has had diverse experiences. Mun spent 20 years in advertising and marketing, followed by a transition into the non-profit sector, where she focused on NGO and community fundraising for over 5 years. The last decade of Mun’s career has been dedicated to hospitality, specifically in food services and managing homestays.
At Kenyang, Mun plays a crucial role as the founder and driving force behind the altruistic initiatives. Mun’s background in marketing, community engagement, and hospitality has provided her with a unique perspective to lead Kenyang's mission of addressing food insecurity and promoting sustainable living in the community.
